How Wildfires Affect the Environment:
Wildfires emit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere that will continue to warm the planet into the future. Wildfires emitt about 8 billion tons of CO2 pear year for the past 20 years. The fires also damage forests that would remove carbon dioxide from the air. They also emit soot among other things that have complex effects on global warming and cooling. Although sometimes the fires can play a key role in shaping ecosystems they are way more dangerous than good by polluting the air with harmful emissions that are not good for human health or animal health.
