How Humans Cause Wildfires:
Human-caused wildfires can result from campfires left unattended, the burning of debris, ciggarettes thrown on the ground while still lit, and intentional acts of arson. Research shows that about 84% of wildfires are started by humans. We tend to start fires where nature lightning isn't common or when forests are too wet to burn easily. We start them so much that the normal fire season increased by 3 months around the country. This is no good especially if we want to continue having somewhere to live in the future. To be able to knock down the percentage of fires caused by humans we should be mindful of where we throw down ciggarettes and always keep at least one person around a campfire in case anything goes wrong so it can quickly be put out.
